Brussels Sanctions Roundtable

30 January 2025: The impact of sanctions on commercial disputes and jurisdiction

Join us at the next Brussels Sanctions Roundtable  on 9 January 2024, where a panel will discuss the impact of EU sanctions on claims and dispute resolution procedures, including arbitration.

The impact of EU sanctions is felt across many aspects of international business. As the consecutive sanctions' packages impose increasing export controls, restrictions on engaging with an increasingly longer list of designated persons and companies, group compliance efforts and the potential for disputes arising out of the resulting commercial disruptions increases.

The roundtable will discuss EU sanctions "no-claims" provisions, responses to anti-suit, anti-arbitral jurisdiction of national courts and the impact on recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.

The Roundtable will be followed by an in-person networking drink.
